For those who are students of leadership, we have for the most part experienced the same, in theory. If then, we are all “learned” from the same school of thought, why then isn’t leadership across organizations more consistent. I dare say, it is taking theory to action that is the challenge for some leaders. Make no mistake, this is no easy feat but through deliberate and strategic thinking and action, it can be done! Relying on the help of individuals who have mastered this art, or to whom it is “gifted” can be of tremendous help. As leaders, we must not be afraid to acknowledge the areas with which we struggle. The measure of a leader emerges in how you seek to mitigate those struggles.
