About the Founder
Dr. Shernette Grant is the Founder and Principal of Unorthodox Leadership Consulting.
She brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience across large-scale education systems, nonprofit governance, and mission-driven enterprises.
Her background includes:
• School principal and district-level executive leadership within one of the largest school systems in the United States
• Chief Executive Officer and Chief Program Officer within nonprofit institutions
• Entrepreneurial leadership across private enterprise
Dr. Grant’s work is shaped by lived executive experience, systems-level thinking, and disciplined governance practice.
She is a certified ICP ACC Agile Coach, executive advisor, author, and host of Leadership+ with Dr. G, a platform exploring disciplined leadership in complex environments.
Her approach challenges conventional leadership narratives and centers on structural accountability, executive clarity, and institutional durability under pressure.
